x is less than or equal to -9.5 or x is greater than 5.5. The easiest way to show the solution set would be on a number line. A solid point would be at -9.5 with an arrow pointing to the left and an open circle would be at 5.5 with an arrow pointing to the right. Solid point indicates it includes that point and an open circle indicates it does not include that point. :)
