the plant cell has a cell wall, the animal cell has none.
they differ in shape also, animal cell is kind of round, plant cell is kind of rectangular with round corners.

Plant cells have square cell walls, and animal cells don't have cell walls. That's all I remember, but there are a LOT of differences.

The easiest way to tell them apart is that plant cells typically have a cell wall and are usually more rectangular in shape. The cell wall allows them to take in much more water than animal cells, without the cell exploding (lysis)
Hope that answered your question!

Animal cells vs. Plant cells:
1) No cell wall : Cell walls made of cellulose
2) No vacuoles : Contains vacuoles
3) Has centrioles which aid in cell division : No centrioles
4) Energy made by the conversion of glucose and Oxygen into CO2 and water : Energy made by the conversion of Light, CO2, and water into glucose and Oxygen
5) Energy made in the mitochondria : Energy made in the chloroplasts
6) Heterotrophic : Autotrophic

One has a Cell wall and membrain and the other just has a cell membrain or wall. I can't remember. You can always look it up on the web. I have not benn in biology in about 3 years now. So you need to learn this. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.
