I have a switch connected in my network. But i cant detect which user is connected in which port. Is there any way (any software of any process) that i can find out which user is connected in which port. I cant go throug the cable.

Get the MAC address of each PC that connects to your network. While you are at it get the machine name and location. MAC address are burned into NIC cards and cannot change like IP addresses. Use a spreadsheet and record the Machine name, location, MAC address and switch port assignment on it. You should be able to see the MAC address on the switch if it is a Cisco switch "Show mac-address-table" and the port corresponding.

Unplug ALL from the switch.
Make a Diagram of each workstation/PC with their IP address and the Switch...
Plug only one cable into Port 1, and ping it with the IP of each workstation, until you get a positive. Note the diagram.
Repeat process for each one you plug into each Port of the switch.
