There is many ways to know if there is User's Online or not. The easier one ... Download Program Call "SwitchSniffer" it's So easy to Use all what U have to do is Set the Option right & That's All Then U can know who is Online & How much they Recive & How much they Send & What the Link they r In & What they View & So on. I have Version 1.2.2.0 To set the Option on this Version
In General Click on the First Three Check Boc Make True Sign on them
In Spoof Choose <->Gatway & With the System Router
In AntiSpoofer Make true Mark in Cure ARP
Enjoy knowing all what Happen in Ur Network.

if you know what computer the user is on, you may find the computers MAC address in the DHCP server. If you can find that, go to the switch and see if you can correlate the MAC address to a port. For Cisco IOS the right command would be "show mac-address address aaaa.bbbb.cccc", where aaaa.bbbb.cccc stands for the MAC address you're looking for.
