what is the train route I should take to travel from Narita Airport in Tokyo to Ginza East? I will reach Narita around 5 PM on Aug 6th and I need to go to Ginza. Alternately, is there a shuttle bus going to Ginza East from Narita?

Traveling in Tokyo is easy. It'll be spelled out for you at the airport. You can take the Narita Express straight from Narita to Tokyo Station. You can easily find the connection to Ginza. I am going to Tokyo next week actually. I don't know the exact connection you'll need but they'll have signs in English. Don't sweat it. Traveling in Tokyo is easy.

In terms of trains, take the train into Tokyo and not Ueno - the Ginza area is much closer. The fastest way to get to Tokyo is definitely the Narita Express. The traffic can be awful.

Once you get to Tokyo, you can take a cab to Ginza or if you want to try the train system use the JR Yamanote line (Green Line) to Shinbashi, which is one train station away, and then take the Asakusa subway line to Higashi Ginza (Ginza East). The only problem is that the train rides are 4 minutes and 2 minutes respectively but the walk time in between is estimated to be 11 minutes.

On the shuttle bus to Ginza, try this site:

Both train and bus cost roughly the same JPY 3,000 but the benefit is that while you might run into some bad traffic, the bus is a one-shot door-to-door deal if you are staying at the right hotel.

Good luck -

Take Skyliner from Narita to Ueno and then take Ginza Line or take express train from Narita to Central Tokyo Station and then take Ginza or Chiyoda Line. There are many other trains going to Ginza both west and east. I don't think if there is a shuttle service from Narita to Ginza coz travelling costs you a fortune in Japan and people like to travel by train.
