In the context of reality: was going to war in iraq a huge mistake?

2500+ of our guys, 10's of thousands of Iraqi all dead to enrich George Bush and his cronies. Do I think that going to war in Iraq was a huge mistake. Yes I do. Congress was fed the same faulty intelligence that the president was, I think the president had embellished the threat for his personal gain. Yes we need to at least vote out the repuglican majority so it returns some checks and balance to the government and then in 08 we will be getting a new president anyway. Choose carefully.

anyone with stock in oil made money. Anybody who was a contractor (as long as they were affiliated with Halliburton) made money. Our congress was forced to sign the patriot act without being given time to read it. They were also under attack and being called un-American for even questioning it. And yes, it is time to bring some balance back to the government. We can start this November. See you there!

Who profited? How about the 25 million Iraqis that now have the freedom to vote for their own government? How about Israelis that no longer have Saddam paying $25K to the families of suicide bombers? How about the Kurds that were oppressed and massacered? How about the hundreds of thousands that were raped, tortured, and murdered? How about the entire region that has one less brutal dictator to worry about? How about your family that no longer has to worry about Saddam giving a terrorist like Osoma chemical weapons, or a couple billion dollars of oil money?

Pull your head out of your butt and you may be able to see reality.
