My friend and I are sick of our jobs. What would be a good career that we could persue together? We are not opposed to being self employed. We are in our 30s and have office jobs.

What is your passion in life? Look into doing something that you really love to do. Building websites and pushing a service is an excellent way to make money. I know people who make a lot of $$ doing that.

I've got a career in Accounting. Go back to school take some night classes. I'm 23 and some days I wish I didn't get my 4 year degree in accounting but others I love it. All depends on what you want to do. You and your friend might need to go towards different career paths.

you should both pitch in and open up a small business or something. once you get on your feet, you can buy loads of other tiny businesses (gas stations, fast food restaurants, etc.). that's if you want to be self-employed, though. i would prefer being self-employed because chances are the reason you hate having to work in an office is because you either hate your boss or you hate the work you have to do. if you're self-employed, you do what you have to do (when you want to do it, of course), and you get to chill the rest of the time.

Something you love to do. Forget the advice that says chase money or etc...do something you both enjoy to do.

And don't forget to think about it outside the box. For example, I love sports, computers and music...maybe I'm made to be the guy who puts together that Ultimate Highlight on ESPN...or maybe the job that picks and plays music at a sports stadium...or a website that pushes sports-related music.

So, start with your favorite things and then try to look at those "sideways" and see if any ideas jump out at you.

Good luck.
