This is said from experience.............
Right now it is fine, fantastic, great and goooooooo for it.
But check the laws in your state first until you turn 18. Some states you are considered a legal adult at 17 and in others your not.
Or just date the guy and abstain from sex until you are 18. If a man in his late 20's can do that. And if he cares about you then he will.


But be aware that in a few years the age difference IS going to make a difference.
You will out grow each other in many ways.
One of which will be sexually. Right now you are both interested in sex but in a few years when you are at your sexual peak he will be on a down hill slide.
And do not kid yourself into thinking that it will be ok because it wont.
Another thing that will change is that you will be ready to explore things and he will be ready to just sit around the house a relax.
And there will be other issues that yall will disagree on because of the age difference.

I don't want to be the one to say your not really in love, but it's probably true. As you get older, age differences don't matter quite as much, but at your age, you are too young to be with someone that age. Even though guys don't mature as fast as girls, by the time they are 27, they have a lot more life experience and maturity than you do at 17. I used to think I was mature enough at 17 to get married and have a baby, and now I am 28 and have only been married a couple years and are still waiting to have a baby, I look back at my life at 17 and I am sooooo glad I waited.
So...my advice...date around, and enjoy being a teenager still and a life without real adult responsibilities.

At the modern age that we are in. Why should age still be a factor? However, given your age, the problem prob be your parents. I dun think most parent can accept their daughter going out with someone 10 years older. In a few years, when you step out to the working work, 10 years would not be that much of a problem then.
