i get there, find a job and my employer applies for me visa,i want to stay there good, so will the visa my employer applies for be good enough for me to stay there permanently or will i have does the visa become void should i chose to leave the job for another or get just so happen get fired

yes you can, but it isn't any cheaper or convienient than getting it in the uk (that is if you are in the uk) - I only know as my brother works in China and advised me to stop over in HK and get my visa there rather than in the uk

I think you have that backwards did you say what visa you will use to get there and what country? to get a prospective employer to guarantee you a Job to my understanding once the visa is granted its for that particular employer employment ,get fired you screw up bye bye visa however keep on checking your post, there are some very knowledgeable persons here with these expertise's an follow their posted guidelines

I am unfamiliar with Hong Kong rules in particular, but virtually every country has a system whereby you must apply for a visa in your country of origin. Usually only tourist or transit visas can be obtained on entry.
