That's a tough question. It all depends on the situation. It's like asking if you can re-gain someone's trust. It only takes one time to break someones trust but it takes several occassions to win it back. It's like breaking a peice of glass, you only have to break it once and it shatters to peices but it takes a long time to glue them all back together and, even when you do, it isn't whole. Gaining trust and respect back are the same thing. You can do something one time and lose someone's trust or respect but you will have to do a lot to earn it back. You have to prove that you can earn trust or respect by doing respectful things, really, but it doesn't happen overnight. You have to be honest, admit that you did wrong, and accept responsibility for it.

absolutely,

By being honest, admitting your mistakes and asking for their forgiveness and or understanding of what happened to cause the initial loss of respect. Usually an honest, open dialogue with that person will result in a turn in the right direction towards re-earning their respect.

Of course you can earn someone's respect back, let them know that you are sincere. Whatever happened, apologize and move on, don't dwell on the negatives. Keeping your word is very important, remember to treat others as you would want to be treated

Yes, but it's usually an uphill battle. Once that respect is lost, it has to be EARNED to be re-gained.

That's tough!

I ´don´t know, but what i can do is not being attentive to other´s opinion otherwise I am not going to be me, if i made a mistake
and I recognize it and so I won´t do it Again it is because i decided it not to be approved or admired by someone else .
