Mine did. I fell asleep at work. There were times I had to pull off the road from driving to nap/pass out. I thought there was something wrong with the baby or myself. But by about the 16th week I was doing much better and my energy was back. So I'd say that as long as you take good care of yourself you'll be feeling better by the second trimester.

I feel for you. I went through the same thing during my first trimester. It was horrible. Mine carried over a couple of weeks into my 2nd semester which freaked me out because everyone said it would go away. So, I caught cat naps on my lunch break. Which really seemed to help. If you work, then do as much as you can during your lunch break like errands or a load of laundry. That way when you get off of work, you will have more down time. That is what I do. And I try to use paper plates and such for dinner time to make clean up not so time consuming. Save time whenever you can. Also take showers at night. The extra rest in the morning can do wonders. It will get better, just hang in there.

it depends on your system and your iron intake too. Each pregnancy is different. Some are fatigued all 9 months, some during the first trimester and some at the last trimester. You should talk to your doctor about what you are feeling.

During my first pregnancy, I didn't start getting tired until my third trimester...I was unaware I was pregnant and had so much energy I even helped the husband roof a pole barn. But, I'm pregnant with my second (15 weeks), and I was EXHAUSTED in my first trimester. I never felt so tired! I'd come home from work and gather toys for my son so I could lay on the floor and have him play next to me while I "rested". But, once I hit about 13 weeks, I felt great....and I'm still doing good now. Good luck to you, and congrats on the pregnancy!!

The extreme fatigue goes away after your first trimester. You should notice around your 4th month that you feel really good(or atleast I did).
Good Luck to you.

It goes away around the begining of the 2nd trimester. However, it does come back some towards the middle of the 3rd trimester.

The second trimester was so much easier for me with both my pregnancies! It was as if I was not even preg. Compared to the symptoms I had in the first. The only thing that stayed with me was the occasional back aches.

For me, the extreme fatique existed in the first and last trimesters. The middles of my pregnancies were always my favorite.

every body is different it could last through your whole pregnancy or stop after your first trimester. Yet, there are SOME that still have it while breastfeeding! good luck!
