All I got were pointless answers, some even suggested I read a novel.Yeah,I always read novels as reference. The complete question is I'm looking for the term or specific field of study of the relationship between math and science.I've been a serious musician for 22 years and I just want the term because I can't remember what it is.My math skills increased ten fold after I became serious about my instrument and I know there is a term for this field of study. Please help cause I rarely forget this kind of thing and it's driving me nuts

And no of course I don't mean music theory. There is a specific term for this field of study. If you don't have the term I'd rather not hear from you.I studied music theory for 4 years.

I think the term you are looking for is the "Mozart Effect." I've heard of this...it's quite amazing. You just have to remember that it's correlational, not cause and effect.

There are two connections:
a) Frequency (tone)
b) Rhythm
When I had a few semesters of music I was told to study how Johann Sebastian Bach wrote his music. It is supposed to be the most mathematical of all, then followed by Mozart.
