I want to conduct an experiment to observe quantum interference phenomena. I need to somehow measure the amount of photons (or energy) generated by a light source such as a laser (it doesnt have to be a laser)

To measure light ray interference use two very narow slits and project light of any color on them so taht they are projected on the wall of a dark room.
The size of the slit cause a light ray particle collision on the its walls which will bounce off to cause collision with the partilce traveling to the wall the dark spots are where the interference occured.
A Photon is the energy of a light particle ray falling on a surface for one seceond.
If you Want to measure the energy of light due to the radiation power of the light ray you need to integrate the amount of time the surface is receiving the energy.

use that experiment where you shot a single photon at a piece of paper with two identical slits in it with the silted paper being in front of some sort of light-sensitive paper or something. sorry, I'm not big on methods of experimentation.

are you some techno dude? get a grip. quantum level requires precise measuring instruments. ( you may try using photometer dope. ;p)
