To Joanne: Channel 4 didn't cancel Invasion, the company that makes it in America did. Channel 4 are unhappy about that apparently because it was doing quite well in the ratings.

As for reality TV, the worst example has to be Love Island. To quote Charlie Brooker: "They had to take 'Celebrity' out of the name because the only chance you'd have of seeing someone you recognise is by sitting so close to the TV you'll see your own reflection."

The whole genre isn't bad though, Big Brother is quality television. Seriously, it is. Most reality stuff is really poor, though.

What do you mean they cancelled Invasion ! I love that show - If I thought that because of something as pants as Big Bro made Ch 4 cancel Invasion I will go craaaaaaaazy.
I thought that "Only Fools on Horses" Celebrity (and I use that word in the broadest sense) BBC show jumping prog, I didn't actually watch it but I saw some clips of it and it just amazed me that TV companies will put any old shite on the box if the words "Celebrity" and "Reality" are in the title - Lets get back to watching proper decent TV, the world has gone mad

Big Brother and the 'talent' shows have to be the worse examples of reality TV. I think the TV bods only make them as they have run out of really good ideas for programmes and that there are far too many channels to chose from, so TV has beconme very 'diluted' in quality

I don't like it..I feel we have enough reality...we need true entertainment. It seems like the TV producers & writers can not come up with anymore good entertainment so they just show reality stuff. You would think in these times of so much fighting & sadness...they would try harder to help get our minds off it fo a while.

I hate reality tv also.........it's not even REALITY! People have to be cast, shows have people who look like models (unless it's an odd theme), and people do things that the producer tell them to..........the shows that I hate the most are the Celebrity Houses and Celebrity spenders shows, where they tell you how much celebrities spend and have....

I can't stand any of it. I dread each summer - months of nothing but Big Brother. It's like torture. There is nothing remotely entertaining about watching lazy thickos sitting around all day doing bog all.

I can't stand reality TV - it's hard to pick the worst when they're all so bad.

I'm with you. I already have reality. I watch TV to get away from it.

Which one's the worst? Hell, they're all tied.
