I do as well. The only problem is they are the only store for 100 miles that carries a particular item I need for my old dishwasher. Otherwise, I do not go there. I hate the cheap American made products they sell. American made is not always better. Rude? We are sometimes completely ignored.

What's the matter? Turned down or fired by WalMart?
People vote with their money, and so far WalMart has a lot of votes.
The quality of the merchandise varies quite a bit. As far as I can tell, the Oreos I buy there are no different from what I buy anywhere else (not much cheaper, either). But then, you have Sears' "good, better, best" and anyone who buys "good" knows what "cheap" means as to quality, and that is engineered into the goods!
I have not encountered any rude people at WalMart, but I have encountered quite a few rude people on this site!

I hate Walmart, too. I look around the isles and can't stop but wonder how powerful this corporation is regardless of how horrible a service, how horrible the conditions, how horrible the products.
Merely a bunch of crap on shelves. Food that makes people fat, clothes that look bad when they wear them, ridiculous products from profiteering idiots.
Better buy everything online.
I once saw a head of lettuce on the floor by a cash register. Apparently, it was one of those that a person didn't want anymore once he or she got to the checkup line.
I would like to see any member of the Walton family eat that head of lettuce.

There is a huge group of people out there who hate it. You're right on every aspect, the people are completely underpaid, and the merchandise is cheap. I recommend reading "The United States of Walmart" by John Dicker. It's a really good book about Walmart and how it's destroying our country (among other things).

I don't know if all Walmarts are created equal, but the one by me s u c k s. The employees all have this blank Walmart gaze going on, and the shoppers, who were probably just wonderful, polite folks who watched over their kids when they were shopping at Target and Meijer, seem to transform into something from a Stephen King movie.

They do treat the people with little to no respect and they do have junk for more than what you would pay for that junk in other stores. The use false advertising too, the don;t drop the prives if anything the keep going up. I found more repetaubale places with better quality and their prices are less.

I prefer Target. Walmart is just horrible. The sheets I bought there were so thin, I could read a newspaper through them. I'll bet anything that the Walton family does NOT sleep on those sheets!

lots of things you buy you have to take back for some reason or another./ and when you get clothes for a gift at christmas and they dont fit/ i hate to have to ask for a receipt.
and there is a lot of walking.
and they always move things around. or they no longer carry things that you may really need./ like a internet card for a windows 98. computer. etc.
whenever you buy a tv set it doesnt work because it is a return they are supposed to send back but didnt. and the list goes on and on.

NO, you are not. I think Wal-Mart is okay. I live in Germany and they have had Wal-Marts here but now they are leaving Germany. What is wrong with buying some things cheap? Like plastic silverware, pencils and crayons or blankets? Personally I loved K-Mart because they had awesome hoagies and slushies when I was a kid. ;-) hahahha But I think you are too young to remember old school K-Mart

I don't hate Walmart. Now, I don't buy certain things there because of the extremely poor quality (clothes, shoes kitchen utensils, etc.), but my groceries, lightbulbs, over the counter meds, toiletries, etc. I do buy there and it is MUCH cheaper there than any place else.
