no---i'm an electrican----but do not touch wires!!!!

No, but this reminds me of a story my dad told me. When they moved into their first house that had electricity, there were no lights in the sockets. My dad went around to each room, making sure the light switches were turned off so that the electricity wouldn't flow out of the empty light bulb sockets!

No. If the switch wiring terminates at the switch itself, it's just opening the circuit to be passed onto another outlet. So no electricity is used.

yes if it has led and is a dimmer model. ever so slight though. Like .005 volts
