In my family, my father and sister have prescriptions, while my mother and I do not. So far, my mother and I are far healthier than my dad and sister while their conditions progressively get worse.
Does medicine really help in the long run?

My sister has "mental balance" prescriptions, which have caused her a seizure in the past, but not enough proof was available. She really needs councilling.
My dad only has a heart condition that makes it beat out of rhythm, but as time progresses, the doctors keep telling him to take more a more a day which makes his overall health condition worse and more stressful.
