I have heard that some political observers are seeing a repeat of 1994, when Clinton lost Congress to the Republicans.

Bush's agenda is already doomed. Moderate reps are running for the hills in an effort to distance themselves. They're terrified of the impact that Bush and his neo-con cronies are having on the party, and for good reason!

Depending upon how sweeping the victories are in November, his remaining days in office are in serious jeopardy. The only thing keeping him in office right now is the spectre of Dick Cheney assuming the office, the only worse possible occupant of the Oval Office.

I think it's just a matter of time before the Bush agenda is in jeopardy within the Republican party. There are already a lot of Conservatives that are growing more and more impatient and intolerant of the President's actions or lack there of. You saw it just recently with Chuck Hagle (sp?) calling for Bush to demand a cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah, but he refuses to do so. Democrats winning the majority in Congress will only further damage Bush's plans. However, his plans were already going down the tubes.

I hope that's true. It comes too late to rescue us from Bush's idiocy, though.
