I couldn't posibly choose just one. Here are th emost magnifican guitarist (in my opinion):
Santana
Hendrix
Clapton
Malmsteen
John Frusciante
.
.
.
And many more. It's a real shame what has music turned into.I mean,I don't say that there are no good songs today, but there were a lot of better songs in the past.

after much thought, it truly must be the incomporable Jimi Hendrix. Never has been anyone like him since. And probably will never be anyone like him. Truly was a magician with the guitar. A shame he died so young, had truly so much to offer. His legend lives on however.

No question in my mind, Phil Keagy. He was originally in the band called "Glass Harp". Phil is still making CDs and he's still as great a guitar player as ever.
If you ever get a chance to see one of his concerts, it's well worth it!
