It sounds like you either have a ghost or a house that is settling. I myself believe in ghosts. I have had a lot of similar experiences. Hopefully, you have a friendly ghost. The best think that I can suggest is to talk to the ghost. See if you can find out why it is there. Maybe you have a recent family member who has passed and that person wants to let you know that everything is okay and not to worry. Good luck.

True hauntings are rare but they happen more than most people realize. Very often phenomena will take place in someone’s life that appears to be unnatural but may indeed have a logical explanation. However, there are those times when there simply are no logical, rational explanations. When that point is reached, you may need to start thinking about a haunting.
How can you tell the difference? Common sense must prevail. If you hear odd banging noises coming from your basement, there may indeed be a natural explanation for it. Perhaps you hear scratching coming from the far corner of the room. Before you call in an exorcist, it might be a good idea to look for any of a host of animals that may be making a nest nearby. Of course, if your couch slides across the floor with you on it, you can probably rule out squirrels. At that point, it is a good idea to look for help.
That can be tricky because those who deal with paranormal phenomena do not advertise in the yellow pages. With the Internet, it becomes easier and harder. A quick look will show that there are umpteen organizations that all claim to be top paranormal investigators. Some are and some are not. Look around and don’t be afraid to contact several of them. Ask questions. That is the best piece of advice I can give you. Ask them how many cases have they done. Ask them what type of cases have they worked on. Ask the ages of the investigators. When they tell you that they are all 19, it is a safe bet that they do not have a lot of experience. They may be good but it is likely that they have not worked many cases and probably few if any serious ones.

You could check around where the foot step & other sounds are coming from, and make sure there's nothing that can explain it away as non-paranormal.

With shadows, you should try to recreate what you're seeing in case it is a trick of light.

Being pushed is harder to explain, though.

I would say the feeling, somebody in the house should be able to feel that something is not right, like having a sixth sense or something.

Oh by the way, I seem to have seen somewhere in a book that someone with Psychokinesis could also be the cause.

My parents have at least one in an assisted living place they own. It used to be a nursing home, and apparently some of the residents never left. There's no one living there right now, but the lady who works there has heard conversations down the hall. One time she shouted out, "Stop it--you're scaring me!" and they stopped. Another time I was helping her prepare a luncheon for Red Hat Ladies (ugh!), and the coffee pot shut off on its own in the middle of the cycle. She turned it back on, and it worked fine. It's a poltergeist, she explained, and he does that kind of thing all the time.

I've met a ghost too. She was quite kind, smelled of roses and talc.

Have you researched your house? There should be records in your local courthouse of all the previous owners. Then you could research the previous owners to discover whom your ghost might be. And if you are of a mind help yours to go to the light.

I would say that you have something there.. We had the same thing in our house... we told it to go to the light..because it was getting to the point where I was scared.. I felt like I was being pushed out my door every morning... since we told it to go to the light..it has been gone... everyonce in a while we hear things..but dont feel like we did... they dont mean harm..they dont know they scare people, they think they are being funny.

When you wake up the next morning after drinking heavily and look in the fridge to see that there is no more beer left, but you don't remember drinking them, the ghost must have taken them.

One time I woke up and saw a little girl in a nightdress standing at the end of my bed....that really freaked me out. Sometimes when Im in my room I can feel a warmth as if someone's sitting next to me, trying to hug me.
