Because the government perpetuates racism by making policies such as :
Affirmative action
Allowing e-bonics to be taught in schools
Giving loans for college to blacks , but a teen from a white family with the same income can not get a loan .
If " All Men Are Created Equal " , let the government start acting like it .
And get the blacks to stop calling each other ni---ers , this term continues to bring up thoughts of racism .
And just stop playing the racism card when you do not get what you want . this is not racism , this is being selfish .
Do you hear the American Indians always screaming racism when they do not get what they want . NO !!!!

Raciest is a misnomer. There is far less hate in the world than we realize. People are naturally attracted to those like themselves. Like energy attracts like energy, the law of attraction. We must all make choices, but we need not judge others. Discrimination is to see the differences in things (people), where Discernment is seeing beyond the differences and understanding that we are all from the same source. Acceptance and understanding is where it is at. Get to know someone first, then if you must make judgment. You will find what ever you are looking for.

People stereotype too much. Just because a certain columbian, or a german man, or a black guy were involved in something negative(usually a crime of some sort), everyone starts thinking that the rest of their kind will act just the same. And anyways, how can you stop being racist if almost everything in front of you simply shouts RACIST out at you?? Ever heard these terms?...
-...State your ethnicity, White, Black, Coloured, Indian, blabla...
-...So and So College has hit the records of best school for Blacks...
.....
come on...

Well, maybe it is because of their up bringing. Some people think other cultures are less superior to them. There is no point in naming cultural groups, because all do it. But, then again, not all people are prejudice.
Some people are afraid of what is different, for instance, a persons color or facial features. If there are different than another's, then one tends to become bias, and direct ignorant comments to another person or group of people.
My advice to you is this...stick to a diverse group of positive people and avoid, (to the best of your ability), ignorant people. Because you cannot change people, they have to change for themselves.
Have a nice day!

I dunno...it's the ignorance some people have that ruins it for all of us. For instance, people like rocknrod04 who couldn't answer a general question without using it to take a good swipe at black people under the pretense of answering. I wish racism would end so everyone could have a fair chance in this world. That's why interracial dating is good to me. All cultures should be together to form one: HUMANITY!!

Sadly, many people are too scared & ignorant but then what would happen if we brought all cultures together? Would a new single culture emerge or would the dominant/more powerful/most violent culture dominate the rest?

I agree. However, as to why, here are some possible reasons.
People are guarded against different things in general whether it be color, belief or culture. We don't really like change that much.
Also, keep in mind that we like to categorize people into little boxes so it's easier for us to "understand" them.
Also, enmity between certain nations are still ongoing so what can you do?

Unfortunately, some cultures just enforce the negative stereotypes placed against them.
