Bad Bike Blues

I rode my bike to work this morning
And the chain fell off
I rode my bike to work this morning
And the chain fell off
I hate my bike so much... you know I'm really p*ssed off

I got the bad bike blues
I got the bad bike blues
This bike is such rubbish I just dunno what to do

I rode my bike home this evening
And the tyre went flat
I rode my bike home this evening
And the tyre went flat
Gonna dump my bike in the river along with this stupid crash hat

I got the bad bike blues
I got the bad bike blues
This bike is such rubbish I just dunno what to do
(repeat and fade)

I rode my bike to work this morning
Arrived late and got my *** canned
Went down to the welfare office
Then later I went to a hotdog stand

Rent was late, I got evicted
My bike and I were on the street
And now my stomach is always growling
That hotdog was all I had to eat

There you go, I've got you started. Write a chorus and a bridge to go with those to verses and you got a McCartney-Lennon -ish song.

I love writing my only songs as well. I have hundreds of tunes and melodies in my head and usually find myself singing little songs during the day. The best way to start lyrically, is to write down little phrases, feelings, thoughts down. Eg. If someone makes you feel bad write down exactly how you feel at the time. like "Your words cut like a knife"... so then when you have a kick *** tune with no lyrics, just check in your book for some that you've written down. I hate tracks with predictable lyrics like "I love you, the sky is blue, my love is true". So boring.

get your theme first. main idea. it's hard to come up with lyrics just by continueing line by line. decide on the main idea of your song, what is it about, and then develope you lyrics from there

oh and another thing. don't even think about getting rich. if you are focusing on the getting rich part, you'll probably neglect the songwriting etc. keep in mind the possibility of not being able to struck rich at all, so you will not be disappointed. i'm not saying it's impossible, but it's like investing, you must be prepared to face the worst and not winning. take it as a challenge to yourself, and who knows what you'll turn out to be :)
gogogo best of luck :)

Don't do it. Think first Paul wannabel. You will write many hit songs, and become filthy rich, then eventually you will marry some heartless ***** half your age, who will want half, or even more, of your massive fortune for 1-2 years of marriage, leaving you poor, and heartbroken. Do you still want to be Paul McCartney now??????
