i'd call it more a republic because we are not a democracy. I didn't vote for Bush. A proxy did. The electorial system is no longer valid. It was created because i couldn't get my mule to the voting booth in 1776. Times have changed....it's time to change. Let us vote for our president. Let us vote for the issues. Many states already let the people vote of propositions. It's time we made our own decisions rather than assuming an errandboy will make the right choices for us.

Welcome to America! I simplest in part accept as true with a few of your facets. I quite do not believe the "rich" in step with se are the pariahs you're making them out to be. I do accept as true with making this nation a extra direct democracy. Since the arrival of the digital age, close to any individual can quite simply preserve abreast of the today's information and so forth. and we will be able to vote on any and each invoice that comes out. We will have to actually have a complete digital accounting of each penny that we're spending and the potential to mention yea or nay to that too. I do agree wholly that the entire contributors of presidency and trade that experience damaged the regulation will have to grow to be like Bernie Madoff. I agree that there will have to NEVER be a mystery vote on any quandary. I do not think that businesses are thoroughly accountable for "steamrolling" over the men and women. No company can live on with out well staff and shoppers. The hindrance is that many men and women who do not believe their corporation is as much as snuff simply keep and take their paychecks and cross dwelling. They by no means desire to depart the safety of that paycheck, for that reason won't stand on precept and depart for a bigger, extra ethical corporation. As a purchaser, how sometimes do you purchase some thing and understand not anything approximately the corporation that produced the product? If men and women give up shopping merchandise from firms that deal with their staff immorally, viola, they cross into chapter 11. Unfortunately, as soon as once more it's less difficult to stick at ease than to do the morally proper factor. You can not legislate morality.

The United States' form of government is a Federal Republic.
The people's representatives (that is, the leaders) are elected through democratic means.

SOCIAL SECURITY:

(This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.)

Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.

Our Senators and Congresswomen DO NOT pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it.

You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for themselves. So, many years ago they voted in their own benefit plan.

In more recent years, no congressperson has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan.

For all practical purposes their plan works like this:

When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die.

Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments..

For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7,800,000.00 (that's Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275, 000.00 during the
last years of their lives.

This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two Dignitaries.

Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more during the rest of their lives.

Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00 . NADA..! ZILCH...

This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I pick up the tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the General Funds;

"OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK "!

>From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into, every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer). We can expect to get an average of $1,000 per month after retirement.

Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator! Bill Bradley's benefits!

Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.

That change would be to:

Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen. Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us

Then sit back.....

And see how fast they would fix it.
