The chance of it working the 2nd time is just that - a chance. But obviously the most important thing is to be positive. Never give up. Its just like the lottery - the more you play the chances increase that one day you will hit the jackpot. Stay positive and if it doesn't work again, carry on. Emotionally it must be exhausting, but you must persist, lots of people have been through what you are going through and got beautiful babies. When you are down just remind yourself why you are doing it. Watch your diet, take folic acid and I wish you the best of luck! I hope you do get your little joy very soon! Take care

My friend did 3 and on the 4th one she got pregnant. She did 3 of them with a doctor and then the 4th one she decided to change doctors. It all depends the doctor. The last doctor that she went to had a different method then the first one. And thats why she thinks it worked. Now, next week they are going to tell her how many she is caring. Because normally when you do an IVF you have a chance of bringing twins or triplets. Good luck and best wishes!

Mine happened to work on the 3rd try. It'll depend on whether your Doctor is willing to be more agressive with your treatment. I had 7 mature follicles the month I conveived and my doctor wanted to cancel the cycle due to the high risk of high-order multiples. I begged him to continue so I wouldn't have to wait another month. He agreed as long as I promised to reduce anything over 3. I only got pregnant with one so I was lucky.
