After the cold war ended there has been a lot of fear mongering but now it seams that the United States has settled on a 'War on Terror' to try and make world politics a case of with us or against us again.
Just look at how they are allowing Israel to continue its attack on Lebanon because it agrees with their 'defense against terrorists' right to attack other countries.
So at any rate, is it a good thing to have a polarized world again? Do we really need another political climate that will spawn countless little wars and violations of International Law? (Look at Vietnam, Cambodia, Nicaragua etc and then now at Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan)

No, I think it is a very bad thing - unless you make a lot of money on weapons, like the people who support Dubya do.

"Empires fall apart" Zbigniew Brzezinski wrote the Grand Chessboard.. in it he explains how the Soviet Union lost the cold war due to it's inflexible Dogmatic, theocratic rule... America could be well on it's way to this same inflexibility .. we can't sustain as a Democracy or Federalized Republic which is what we actually are.. with an overbearing fundamentalist approach. The only way for the big Biz dogs to hold it together is to have a dictatorship... and like W said "It would be much easier if we were a dictatorship" don't think that can't happen here people. The Empire is on a roll and they ain't gonna give it up without a fight...
