In your Yahoo account, you're able to check the originating IP address:

Go to 'OPTIONS'

click 'GENERAL PREFERENCES'

then select: Show all headers on incoming messages
under 'MESSAGES'

When you go back to your inbox and open the message again, it should show 'origionating IP address' somewhere in the mail header...

Copy this IP address..

And then you go to a web site called :

www.geektools.com

and click on : whois

insert the IP address...

and it should at least tell you the country and service provider...

In Windows open a command console and type 'tracert ' (without the quotes). This will trace the target ip address back to its source from your PC (the first ip address in the list will usually be the ip address of your router or default gateway).

On the Internet have a look at a 'whois' search. There are websites for this. Google is your friend.

There is an option called full headers in Yahoo. And even in some other mail clients. For Yahoo click the link below. The header contains the deatils of IP address

EVERY email has an IP address unless it is somehow hacked which is unlikely. Go to OPTIONS-->>General preferences-->>Messages-->>Headers-->>Show all Headers in your Yahoo email to see the originating IP address. Look at http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm
To find the physical location of the email server.
