they are credited with hampering Israel with enough casualties that Israel lost it's taste for prolonged occupation. to compare Hezbollah's strength to that of Israel is ludicrous. Hezbollah is as homespun as the American Heart Society. They formed in reaction to something killing the people. They went on to form schools, hospitals, and playgrounds for kids. Hezbollah's soldiers aren't even full time soldiers. Most of them are teachers, plumber, electricians, waiters.....simply put, they are normal people off the street put in a very precarious situation.
But just like Vietnam AND Iraq, external military prowess can never fully crush indigenous dissent, especially when the atrocities of war often harden the beliefs of the people in support of resistance. How many innocent bystanders were killed in Vietnam? How many in Iraq? Google that and the range varies. The one that matters is the one that has been tallied by the locals because that's what they see & hear and is the explanation the the exacerbation of our Middle East relations across the board. This does not even include the ill will caused by the U.S.'s continuous support of Israeli agression against Palestine and Lebanon.
People with nothing to lose and everything to gain against an army allied and supplied by the world's greatest Military.
Besides, all Hezbollah has to do is survive through this assault. They win by not losing. Israel loses by not winning.

Now I think it's time to see if Isaiah 17 plays out. If it does, then Syria will get involved in a major way and it will result in Damascus getting leveled completely...

hahha very cute.. Israel has the second best army in the world and the best air force in the world genius!!! Just because china is bigger doesnt mean anything, they have no experience where as Israel is in constant day to day battles with those pigs, who will never win. They are terrorists. They started this, and Israel will finish it.

FIRSTLY I'M NEUTRAL, the facts indicate:
Hezbollah never said that they are planning to start a war ,and never said that they will win, but they promised at the very beginning that it will defend itself against Israel and will even go to hit at the heart of Israel, so they never actually mentioned anything about winning a war against Israel.

When did Hezbollah win? Israel's only begun to fight. They have many more soldiers they could call up at a moments notice. We haven't yet seen the full force of the IDF.

if you go back to history.. it was never happened that an ARMY won on a MILITIA.. wut about the cowered Israelians.. If they were the fourth strongest as u say or the second as other say why america helps them.. they must not need help from any one..
and you will see who will win ( that means if they decided to make a peace the israelians lost the battle cuz they want to destroy Hizbullah and they couldn't with "AMERICAN HELP"..

For the sake of argument, let's say things go down as you seem to desire.
Hezbollah would not really win, Israel would choose to lose.
Afghanistan/Iraq/Vietnam... won't/don't win, America chooses to staple their feet to the floor, and throw alms and bombs together at their enemies; we seem to prefer to lose.
