I seem to have the worst luck w/ concert tix. I am on Ticketmaster the second they go on sale (even take advantage of some "pre-sales") but still get crappy seats! What's the deal? What is the secret people? The hundreds of people in front of me at these shows know it-please share! :)

A ticketmaster person told me once that the first person in any given line will get the good seats. Everyone after that will get what's left. There are dozens of ticketmaster locations all over the city, plus the internet and phones. All those people at one time when tickets go on sale are going to grab up the best seats available.

Unfortunatley the best way to get good seats to a concert these days would be from a Scalper because they have alot of resources to get the tickets from as well as a variety of tickets to choose from for any particular concert you might want to go to.

These scalpers are at all concerts outside the venue and most of them have phone numbers that you can call all the time to get in contact with them, although you can get almost any ticket you want from scalpers, you gotta be prepared to spend alot more money than you would if you were to get them of a ticket line.
goodluck

In our local papers, in the classified section, there are other places selling tickets. The deal is they will cost you. I paid $125.00 for third row middle seat to see Ozzie. That was about 15yrs ago, but their still in there. Also check your local free papers. Ours is NUVO and Intake. Good Luck to you.

Knowing the right people in ticket venues, and getting them way in advance of the concert.

you will in all probability be waiting to verify and hear nicely, yet they gained't be dealing with you. i think of you may finally end up with their backs to you the comprehensive time. in case you're there for the music, they are large through fact this is inexpensive and close. in case you opt to verify them nicely, this is gonna be $$$ gl, and characteristic relaxing at your stay overall performance!

You will pay more, but EBAY is the best resource for getting good seats, I think.
