It's not that I wouldn't trust you I would think that you were kinda scatty and maybe a little - just a little bit lonely and sad. After all why would you want a complete stranger to be your best friend. Sorry the position is already taken, but thanks for asking.

Trust you in what context? Trust that you weren't some psycho murderer? Or trust that you really wanted to be my best friend? Now, I'm really going to concider this "hi im so and so" situation as an actual possibility..Hm.. I would first be shocked that you were so abrupt. Then I would probably question your motives because most people who do not know me woudn't walk up to me in the first place, let alone want to be my best friend. And..do guys have best friends?? I mean all the guys I know don't. Well except my "best guy friend" who still needs to come out of the closet if you know what i mean. Haha.. But overall, I think I would trust you. I'm always looking for new friends...

I'd be a bit taken aback. I suppose you would have to follow it up with a conversation or a question otherwise someone saying "Hi, Im Peter John, I wanna be your best friend" and walking away would be just stupid!

I'd be slightly worried, for all you know I could be an axe weilding psychopath. To want to be a best freind without knowing anything about me suggests a bit of desperation. Which would worry me.

I would think you are weird. No one does that, and you cannot become best friends with anyone without trust. I dont trust any complete strangers, so why are you so different?
