First, its only Haley's Comet that is on a 75 year orbit. All comets orbit in the oort (i think thats how its spelt) cloud. Every so often one comes closer to the inner planets' gravitational fields and gets pulled into an elongated orbit that brings it by the sun.

Halley's Comet, discovered by Edmund Halley, comes around every 76 years. Then it just continues on it's orbit, which is long, oval-shaped.

I don't know but it would be so cool to ride on one and see where it goes.... it propbably just crashes into another planet... or wanders in space forever...
