The Arabs have the right to defend themselves. In the current Lebanese war the Arabs are not being attacked. Hezbollah is a puppet in the hands of Iran and Syria, and the Palestinians, they're despised, looked down upon and hated by the Arabs as well. Arab countries and Israel have signed peace treaties that have been duly observed for decades, and it's on the Arabs most cherished interest that Iran cannot make it through Hezbollah.

Sartre is right with that quote but there are plenty of terrorists who do not fit that bill. I think the Palastinians have been exploited and abused by both sides and there are rich Arabs who are quite happy for them to be the oppressed poor who can be used as "legitimate" weapons against Israel.

Sure! they do have the right, but first they have to get at par with the Israel (if not superior) in terms of technology as well as financial matters. Since the Arabs are not that technologically advanced as the Israelis are, they should remain put and must not irritate the Israelis by the suicidal bombings & rocket attacks. Instead its high time that the Arabs should focus on education & technological advancement.

How was you being opposed by Israel, they gave you the land that they occupied so you can move on with your life. You allowed Hezballah to trick you into believing that he is doing this for your best interest. You know what you are wrong, how is allowing your mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters die for your best interest. Wouldn't it make more sense to move on and work on your economy instead of allowing Hezballah to start a war on your behalf?
I know that Lebanon does not have the capability of stopping Hezballah but if you and your government denounced him at the start and let the world know that you don't support his terrorist ideas, then all those innocent children that died would be alive today. As long as you let cowards bully you into wars, your loved ones are going to die. I know that most of you like the fact that he forced Israel to give back your land, but you should have thanked him for what he has done for the Lebanese people and tell him that now you want him to take that same aggression and anger and put it to use into rebuilding your country.
You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't back him 100% and then when your people are dying you complain about it. He is not state, he is not an authority in Lebanese, you should have protested against this person and anyone who supported him. I know that can't be easy with people like this killing anyone that are not with them, so you are between a rock and a hard place. But you know what they say; you made your bed now you have to sleep in it. I hope you learned from this, don't allow any militia groups to fight on your behalf if you are not willing to accept the consequences of their decision. Diplomacy is the way to go.

That's right. For that reason is meaningless to fight against terrorism and is better to do something to prevent terrorism. Like being neutral in a conflict and do something to resolve conflict.
Is the biggest problem Palestine and their fight for land??
Or Israel and their financial support by USA? Maybe they even think they are superior to Arabs, but actually they would be lost without USA. Arabs would kick their asses out.

Yes, of course they do. However, I wish Lebanon and Israel would chill out. War & Terrorism are bad all around. Everyone is "defending" while they're attacking.

Why cant Americans understand most of these countries in and around Israel don't have Armies that have been propped up by the U.S.A. (OUR TAX DOLLARS).........so their only means of striking back at the atrocities committed by America,s and Israels foreign policies is to use what we call terrorism. SO FOR ALL THESE YEARS OF SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL ALL WE GET IN RETURN IS THEM CONSTANTLY STIRRING UP HOSTILITIES...ITS SUCH A WASTE

yes they do as any country or people are. I do have to ask, just who are the "oppressed poor" the middle east is drunk with power from oil money. If there are poor people there, the fault lies with thier goverments, not the US or Israel

yes, Arabs have the right to defend themselves ... they are not pigs and they are not animals nor barbaric as so many ppl are claiming .. they are poor yet civilized and the are Peace loving , i know them , i lived with them in Paris ....... they are not so devilish as our media is trying to hammer in our minds and definitely they are no angles either , they are human ...
and i agree with sarter ... but it is not about them being poor , they have rights and those rights have never been met ever since 1948 , i expect them to try and find ways to get their rights back
