If your BIOS doesn't give you the ability to disable the onboard graphics, you'll need to disable it from within Windows. Here's how: right-click on My Computer, select Properties, and for Windows XP, click the Hardware tab, then select Device Manager. Once inside Device Manager, click on the + sign next to Display Adapters, then just right-click on the Sis adapter, and select Disable. If you select Uninstall, Windows will reinstall it for you the next time you boot, so just disable it.

Also, if you don't disable it, it will really slow your system down, even if you aren't adding the 9250 for gaming. Why? Because you'll be running two video cards. Even though one of them is built-in to the motherboard, your processor and your memory still has to supply it with data (and your screenshots will be HUGE!), so don't leave it enabled.

Depends on whether your motherboard is jumperless or not usually but assuming it is then it should automatically switch off the on-board chip when you install.
