You need a green card to work in the US. UK citizens some times qualify for the green card lottery but English people never do, so if you're English then you would need to qualify under their Highly Skilled Migrant Worker program or similar to get a green card.

very hard - but there are different ways. but most of them aren’t permanent. You need a green card to make it permanent that is the really hard to get, you could have to wait years and still not get one. But if you want to move to US, you could go to study and get a student visa, the problem with that is you cant ern any money. Another way is getting a job and the employers getting you a visa for you. The way Im emigrating is the lottery visa, but you can only enter if you are a from a certain country. Sadly England isn’t one of them but if your from Ireland you can enter. If you win you automatically get a green card.

The other way for Brits to get into the U.S.A. is to buy a business that employs American staff. You are then seen as having money and doing a service for their country.
