If you do y do u, for me i hate him because his dad is the only reason he got in nacar and got fans, when #3 died all his fans went to junior, her bought his way into nascar, i'm a jeff gordon man myself, what about u?

i agree completely. his name is the only thing that keeps him racing. it's nice to have a fellow gordon fan out there :)

Im a die hard Jeff Gordon fan, but I dont hate Jr. I just think he's overrated. I dont want to say 'hate' but i totally think that Tony Stewart absolutely sucks. He's way to aggressive, hes arrogant, and he starts trouble. He's totally a hypocrite, and a cry baby. Why ANY nascar fan in their right mind would wear an ugly *** 20 Home Depot hat or shirt or anything is beyond me. Tony Stewart brings out the worst in Nascar, while Jeff Gordon promotes the best of it.
Jeff really deserves all the success in the world, he is a great person on and off the track. He really has done a lot for this sport.

It's terrible to hate anyone but he's not just riding on his dad's fame. He has won races himself. Can't do that unless you can really drive. Nascar is very competitive anymore. You can't win anytime unless you have a great car, great pit crew and a good driver. I've a Gordon fan too but Dale is all right

Let's discuss this for a second, shall we?? Funny that you hate someone YOU DON'T KNOW!!
Second, let's start off by saying I'm in no way a #8 fan...and actually root for Stewart and Gordon as my top two driver's myself.
Third, JR did not just get into Nascar b/c of his dad. He enjoyed racing and that's what he wanted to do.. He worked up and he earned his ride. He started off in small area racing, and worked through. Sure, maybe a little easier than a lot of driver's, but it wasn't like he just woke up one day and got told "here son, here's the seat to a Nextel car".. Nope, and as a matter of fact JR is a two time Busch series champ. That doesn't just happen.. and I think he therefore proved himself ready for the big circuit..and went into Cup and won Rookie of the Year (beating out Matt Kenseth..another great driver) SO you tell me how he bought his ride?? YOu tell me how he was just handed everything?? Facts would be nice.. Spouted ignorance does nothing for me.
Jr had fans that were not his dad's for quite a while. People followed him in the Busch series and others he grew on.. Sure, a lot of people were rooting b/c he was an Earnhardt, but let's cut him some slack.. He's built his fan base up beyond belief and no it's not just inherited fans from his dad. Hec there are SR fans that will not root for Jr b/c they have the same mentality as you do, or assume b/c he doesn't have 3 Championships under his belt already that he's a hack.. Yes, he has some of his dad's fans, but not all, and has finally started to make a name for himself..and people enjoy his style of driving, and just his personality. He's got the likability factor for a lot of people, and not even just girls drooling on him, but people who are like mmm okay yeah, i can relate to that.
Maybe you should consider focusing on the good of your driver instead of trying to bash another one.. esp based on complete ignorance..Now, as I said.. I'm not a JR fan, and I think he's overrated at times, and has definitely not proven to be the driver that evryone makes him out to be. With that being said, I get tired of everyone expecting him to be his dad, and I get even more tired of everyone ripping on him for being his dad's son.. Cuz he had a lot of choice in the matter, huh??
Even funnier that a fellow Gordon fan (must say it's poeple like you that make me not want to be considered a fellow fan) is the one telling you this instead of a JR fan..

I don't hate Dale Jr., I don't even know the guy, but I don't care for him either! The guy is alright and he is improving!
I agree that his dad made him famous and a lot of his fans are there because of his father! I also think a lot of his fans are girls who just like him because they think he is cute and that bothers the heck out of me! Neither of these are Dale Jr.'s fault though, although it looks bad! The guy grew up racing, it's what he loves, just like his dad did!
However, there are some die hard fans who are just fans because he is a nice guy and races clean! Which I agree with these both entirely, too!

Hate is such a strong word. I don't think I can hate anybody.
I do prefer other drivers other than Jr, though. The media has overrated him considering his accomplishments on the race track. Sure, he has won races and the Busch Championship, but until he wins the Cup championship, he won't be considered a great driver by me.

I hate him so much. The only reason he's so popular is because of his dad. Everything is his dad and now he has a uncle for a crew chief.He stinks! I love Jeff Gordon

I am not a Dale Jr. fan, but come on. He is no more responsible for the circumstances surrounding his father than you are. If you were in his position, would you choose not to race because you wouldn't want to be riding on your old man's fame? It would be better to just dislike him for who he is, which is easy enough. I have to support a fellow Purdue grad - Newman 12.

I totally agree with you 100%!! He's isn't that good of a driver either. I like Jeff Gordon, but Ryan Newman is my favorite.

First of all JR earned his way in a race at a time... he won Busch series championships and he started out in a 500 dollar beat up monte carlo him and his brother bought at a junkyard... HE DID NOT BUY his way in...
I feel for the man... dumb idiots like you will never allow him out of his dad's shadow..
he's a good driver and he's proven himself time and time again
