It could affect future decisions. Sometimes a ref will make a "make up" call - calling something small for one team b/c he made a mistake against them earlier in the game.

I think in all sprts they do but soccer players are such metrosexual prima donnas it looks ridiculous and makes the sport seem a joke.

Something happened between 1982 or so and 1990 and the game is now dullsville. I mean, that WC '06 was the worst period.

Because poeple like to watch such high voltage dramas on the field. Also FIFA is not that strict on the fines and penalties.If FIFA starts suspending players for 5 or 6matches then I think that should work in decreasing such incidents!!
