ours crow in the morning to greet the sun, to make sure everyone is awake. they do crow all day long, to alert to danger- (if my dog is out) they are said to have crowed when peter denied christ, which is a warning. they have crowed at all times of the night when they are startled. - great alarm system for parents who's kids try to sneak in /out.

Roosters don't just crow in the morning they actually crow all the time. Even at night.

Maybe for the same reason that a pet dog wants to go out side in the morning..
Also, maybe just because it made it thru the night again.
Do they crow when it is raining ??
