I have the feeling that this is a catch question....because you can't move water with a magnet (oh sorry, the moon can = tides, but that's not really "magnetism doing it....)
You can, if you put the water in a steel container. Then add the mass of the water ( = 2Kg in your case) AND the mass of the steel container, and do the math. (No time to do that for you).

first of all..WHY???

if the water is in metal container then not much power at all...if its free standing water...you going to need a lot of jucie to move it 2 inches
