incase you dont understand them, they make about 10 BILLION every 3 months. Yes, those numbers are in thousands, so add 3 zeros. Income tax expense=approx 7 Billion every 3 months.

Our taxes are paying for the war. And there is no way Exxon-Mobil is paying 7 billion every 3 months in taxes on 10 billion in sales. No way. Granted, if they are making 10 million, they are paying heft taxes (but not 70%!). But they are gouging the American consumer with these record-high gasoline prices while they sit back and are making the largest profits ever recorded by a company...and I stress that EVER. I don't know how they sleep at night. If we weren't in that war, we could be using those taxes to fund alternative energy sources. Wouldn't that be ironic if we could use Exxon-Mobil's tax money to put them out of business?

We need a new Congress and we need to carry out a full and thorough investigation of the Administration....It is up to each of us, every one of us in this hall today to do everything we can, to mobilize all our resources, our friends, our organizations, to to make sure our democracy stands."

The crowd was on its feet, stomping; there were shouts of "Hinchey for President." Like other political leaders who have shown courage and decency in these last months--I think particularly of John Conyers who launched the Downing St. hearings--Hinchey is someone who gives hope that we will take back our country from a Administration which has defiled our democracy.

yes they do, but why not find out what they SPEND every three months for oil, research, and taxes. do you think the middle east is giving them oil or the people that work for them do it for free? Wannta see something about costs? Just take a look at what the oil co's make and then look at what all the govs involved make off taxes!!

If it wasn't for Asia buying Treasury Bonds we could never afford these tax cuts and the ability to pass the war costs on to the generation after the generations reading this post now.

If you guys think you guys should not pay for your war, who else will? American are funny. They want war against their enemies; but they scouted for armies of other nations to fight their wars in Afghan and Iraq. Now, they do not want to foot the bill for the war also.
