I have installed GTA San Andreas for PC, it installs perfectly fine and without any problems, but when I start it up a message appears telling me it "can not be authenticated". But, when installing it to another computer later, it works perfectly fine and actually runs. Does my computer need some sort of upgrade?

Check your CPU it should at least be 2.02 GHs.
Then try to install the game without choosing the radio station on
hard-drive...If it doesn't work again, you'll have to upgrade your system!

When did you buy your computer? That's the first question you should ask yourself, 'cause if its' old, then probably it's graphics memory is to low. As far as i know, san andreas needs at least 128mb of graphics memory on your computer to actually run. If you graphics card's memory is lower, then try buying a new one, though find out how big your computer's PCI slots are, before you actually comsider buying anything, because this is very important.

If that doesn't work, then maybe your memory is full, you've accidentally deleted some files, or you have some computer virus.

But the graphics problem is the most common one, so don't hasten, check your graphics card!

The most likely part is that the game's copy protection isn't fully compatible with your DVD drive. On occasion it will start up but on others it just won't work.

Things to try would be get hold of Alcohol and try make an image of the game disk and see if that can work, or else you might be restricted to finding a compatible disk drive. I find that less advanced drives work better, as I learnt this from Worms 4.

I disagree with most of these. I'm not assuming that your a fool and haven't thought about system requirements, most games will not even want to install if these are not met anyway.
Unfortunately for me and good for you would be that the Worms 4 guy is on the best track.

Are you sure that your PC meets the requirements? The game needs 476 mb of RAM to run the game flawlessly, also a handsome amount of Graphics Memory.
