I hear someone say it as they were leaving a party and that person was asked if they were headed home. That was her response.

it means I am free to make my own descisons, which is a throwback tothe days of slavery when blacks couldn't do that, and 21 signifying that they are adults

In 1967, it was I am free, white, and 18, because 18 year old Anericans were being killed in Vietnam. Now there is Iraq. Shame on you Bush.

Why do blacks call themselves soul brothers and sisters? Doesn't EVERYONE have a soul?

Maybe they are saying they are a SOLE brother or sister.

Hmmm...but if that were true -- if you were a SOLE brother, that would mean you are a brother to a female and there are no other brothers and vice versa with girls.

It's just all too confusing to me. I have a headache now.

my mom used to always say "white, over 21, and god fearing. I always thought it a pretty racial remark. pretty much meaning--no limitations, you can do anything
