Check the heat shield between the carb float chamber and the engine, if this gets hot it vapourises the petrol and will make it stall and be under powered.

If the head gasket had blown the car wouldn't start.
It sounds as if the thermostat or heat controller are faulty. Either are relatively easy to replace if you know your way around cars, but if not a garage should sort problem out quickly.
Do not keep driving though as loss of power could leave you in a dangerous position. For you and other road users.

A fuel pressure and leak down test has to be performed before you can diag it as a vapor locked. Fuel pump could be getting to hot many things could be the problem take it to a mechanic not a DIY problem.

its getting to hot and vaporlocking. check to see if the cooling fan is running. if not you need to get it fixed fords especially blow head gaskets easily.

Do you have all the fans and stuff on? Maybe it is that?
Don't really know... Thermostat?
