It should have been taken off the air years ago.A soap needs a balance of seriousness and humour and EE is lacking in the latter. That's why Corrie has survived for nearly 46 years !
All I can say is that I'm glad I don't live around that area of London because if the prog is anything to go by the people are a load of miserable gits.No doubt the prog has a lot of Southern viewers but give me Northerners any day.

I used to love Eastenders, never - ever- missing an episode.

Lately, however, I reckon it's been really pathetic, lacking the spark that made it compulsive (in my opinion) viewing.
Sonia's storylines are dire, the Mitchells are away (apart from potato heid Phil who I don't think adds anything to the show) and there's no real good characters left.

In many ways, it's still v. unrealistic:I'll never understand why no one has their own washing machine, and I wouldn't eat in Beale's manky cafe if they paid me.

When Pauline's character is written off, the script should say that the rest are so bloomin' nosey about where's she's off to, they follow her, Amen
;-)

no longer particularly...i haven't watched an entire episode in over 3 years and the depressing formulation continues to be persevering with. as quickly as upon a time you used to get a stability of pathos and humour interior the soaps (Corrie became very solid at this) yet because of fact the pressures of showing the shows greater cases each week, and Eastenders became the accountable criminal right here, then each and all of the soaps have long gone to the canines. unfavourable storylines, completely stupid storylines and for some extraordinary reason they are all full of infants suffering teen angst ...and lots anger everywhere....is it only a mirrored image on our contemporary cases, dunno ,yet for me i take advantage of the off button further and extra these days or discover myself switching over to documentaries....slightly unhappy eh..television used to entertain, now i think of i'd somewhat examine a e book...and that i'm even doing that electronically..

Eastenders needs a change of management and script writers, the dialogue is terrible, the story lines weak and over used...they need a better celeb line up, the new family in it suck and as for Bradley..ouch who let him out of ugly school! Eastenders has got so desperate they are excepting scripts from the public so get writing folks!

Eastenders should have been taken off the air years ago, it's depressing. It should be renamed ' Miserable Square'!

Should've been taken off the air years ago. I'm sure suicide rates must've increased since it was first broadcasted!

The most depressing program on tv. Worries me, the mentality of people that watch it avidly, and the people that produce it. Don't they have better things to do? Wouldn't take much,...maybe,watching paint dry? :-)
