No, that is not important. If you been happy so far, why changed now? Society doesn't need to justify your union if you are happy with the way it is. Don't marry because of society pressure. If you and you hubby want to as a good excuse for a family party and enjoy yourself with your kids, just do it. A friend of mine got together with her boyfriend and made a huge party where she invited all her friends and family to celebrate the begging of her new life together with him. If you want to get married for the wedding day enjoyment, remember you can have that day any day, just make a party and invite people.
But if you want to marry just to be accepted by society, don't do it. You and your man have a relation and a union no paper can straighten or make more important.

Its high time they got married. Frankly speaking they should have considered marriage after the birth of the first child. Anyways Better Late Than Never. Kids should be given top priority. It's a tough World out there. soon they will be grownups. we should set them a good example
All The Best.

Since there are only two states where single fathers have any presumed rights to children born outside wedlock the chances are they don't live in one. If something were to happen to her, the maternal grandparents have the first right to the children. They don't even have to give him visitation rights, until a judge orders it. If something were to happen to him, it throws an extra difficulty in obtaining social security death benefits for the children. There's also related issues to obtaining student grants for college. Should they get married? Yes! I had a female in my taxi cab who had five children with the same man. When I asked her why they weren't married, her first comment was that she still wasn't sure he was the right one.

forget it. it was done jackass backwards, too far gone to save this. remember the old "get married THEN have children" if you were not married before your first child, what makes you think he will marry you now after 3 children? remember you can always divorce a spouse, but never a child!

If you've gone eight years without it, what difference is it going to make now? I think that's the question you need to ask. Also, if it means more to one than the other, there's a whole other set of questions you need to start asking.

That is a question of engagement. If you have children, then they must be protected. Marriage has laws protecting both: the couple and children.
