We bought a gold bracelet with my daughters name on it for her when she was one month old. It wasn't loose or anything so she couldn't hurt herself. She is 3 now and still has it on with no problems.

I see no valid reason for putting a bracelet on a baby.

If it's made of beads, then he/she could bite one or more off and choke.

If it's metal, then chewing/sucking on it wouldn't be healthy.

Wait until a child is maybe 3 at least to put a bracelet on her.

How old a baby? For a very young baby, they're probably safe if only worn while you are holding her and it is contructed strongly enough that it won't fall apart and become a choking hazard.

For an older baby, I wouldn't. Once they are more able to move around by themselves, there's too much risk.

IT depends on what kind of bracelet you are tlaking about. If it fits rights and has no charms or beading then it should be safe. My niece had a chain braclet when she was 3 months old. Her parents only put it on her for special occassions and never let her out of their sight while she was wearing it.

i'd say no, cuz bracelets are metal stuff, right? and babies love to chew cuz they grow teeth and they're gonna get hurt if they chew on metal stuff, right? but if the bracelet's soft, chewable plastic (they have those in baby stores) and fitting the baby's hand, i think it's alright cuz then the baby'll be able to chew and chew to it's heart's content and not get hurt. make sure it exactly fits, cuz if the baby puts it in itz mouth and accidentally tries to swallow it, things will get worse.

but i think you should wait till the baby is older. just don't risk it.

i wouldn't place a bracelet on a babies wrist. babies are very very curious and love love love to put things in the mouths. what makes u think it makes any difference if mommy and daddy puts a nice bracelet on babies arm...that will mean diddly-squat to your baby. don't do it!!!
