In hockey it's difficult to say who will win next year.
I like the Ducks, Wild, Rangers, Red Wings if Hasek plays well, and Dallas (As a Wild fan and former North Stars fan it's difficult to acknowledge Dallas as a good team)
Fav Team: Wild all the way, With Demitra and Gaborik it'll be a good year. Plus they have to have the best rink in all of the NHL, the Excel Energy Center is a gorgeous building to watch hockey in.

It realy pains me to say this, but I gotta go with Anehiem. Their young tallent is incredible, and now they have Pronger in the mix with Neidermeyer. Also, Brian Burke is a great hockey mind. How Vancouver ever let him go, I'll never know. If the Ducks can pick up a better goaltenter, I think they're capable of winning 50+games. The reason it pains me to say this, is because I'm a die hard Flames fan.

That my folks is an easy question. The answer is Anaheim. No they are not my favourite team pittsburgh is. But Anaheim has the best team. 2 of the best D man in the league. a lot of depth,speed,and youth. Plus good goaltending. This is a no brainer.

a western team. my picks would be edmonton, anaheim or san jose. detroit, dallas and colorado have seen their best chance to win slip away. those three are older now and have lost many great key players in the past three years. carolina, buffalo or ottawa for the east. new jersey is getting too old. rangers have a better chance this year with the addition of shanny. my fave team is: detroit. they will always be my fave team if they fail and lose in the playoffs. they were a great team for many years. every team in the nhl had a period of being crappy.

thought maybe the Red WIngs, but the just signed Dom Hasek to be there number one goalie...bad move imho
favorite team is the Bruins, since the Whalers left Hartford and won a Cup in NC

the buffalo sabres will win the stanley cup next year. they have signed a great deal of players from last year and the chemistry will take them to the promise land.

Ottawa by far is the most suckiest team and most brattiest team in the NHL. I think the Leafs will win the cup.
