he was the scapegoat for last season's playoff loss in the first round. the fans tend to blame the goalie for the loss even if it wasn't his fault totally. wherever he goes he will be a good fit. he is not a starting goalie. he had one good year. a starting goalie hasa few years of good records. was it a mistake letting him go? who knows. the wings have a good goalie in jimmy howard. he is the future. hasek is just a temporary fix in net until they come across a better goalie to fill in for legace's departure. legace will do good. i hope he finds a good team and help them win.

The Detroit Red Wings just signed Hasek so they don't need Legace Anymore.I think The New York Rangers Should Sign Him Because He would Be a good Backup For Lundquist.

Was let go by the Red Wings at the end of last season. The Red Wings clearly stated that they had no intention of resigning him, therefore making Osgood the number one goaltender for the upcoming season.
Legace has hardly gotten any offers from teams, even in a backup role. His agent is calling teams to seek out opportunities, but nothing has quite worked out yet.

Manny did not come crashing down in the playoffs. His team did not play well in front of him. The Wings are foolish to get rid of him. Even if they feel he is not a starter you could not ask for a better back up. He got the shaft. I can't believe no one is interested in him.

Ken Holland decided to blame the teams failure last season on him and they got rid of him.
I heard last night on the news that they got Hasek to come back for a one year deal. And they are keeping Osgood.
I think they screwed up.

they finally realized that he was at best a good backup goalie.
He was just having a good year but that came crashing down in the playoffs for the Red Wings

He currently has no team. I think he will end up in Anaheim when the Ducks get rid of JS
