Last night my fiance who has lived with us for 2 years went down the hall to the use the bathroom....Well.. dont know what he was thinking but he just grabbed his pants without putting them on and as he passed my 12 year old daughters room she opened the door!!! He freaked out and ran to the bathroom... thing was is he was basically nude just holding his pants behind him as he ran! At this point i dont know what to do...Do i ask her what she saw and hope she didnt see anything? And if she did i dont even know how to handle this....Should i ignore it unless she come up to me? Im hoping she just thinks he was in his boxers which he normally is....but what if she saw ALL of him??? Im a little freaked!!! I can imagine how freaked she is!!!! And him...He feels horrible! What a nightmare!

It's really not that big of an issue unless you make a habit of this happening. It was an accident. Accidents happen to all of us. My daughter had the same thing happen. However we were home alone, she came home, he was changing with the bedroom door open. No one was supposed to be here. But all she saw was his rear view. She is now a couple years older. And we joke about the incident. If you make an issue of this, so will she. Explain to her that it wasn't intentional. Ask her if she's upset, and tell her that you will take steps to try to keep it happening in the future. And for God's sake have the talk with her.. she's likely knows more then you think she does. Trust me, my children did and do. If you are more open with her she will feel free to come to you with her troubles. If she did see all of him.. well it's still an accident and can be explained in the same way.

She's not such a child anymore just to let u know, she's growing up 12. WOW!-and she opened the door sorry to tell u this but more than likely she saw or knew something weird if she opened the door and he ran. That's something u should just say "so hey anything new with u?" I think that's the best way cuz she's getting older and ur asking but not really and ur not lieing and ur not telling her something she doesn't know without realizing she may not understand yet and not talking about it could make her uncomfortable as well as mentioning it could be too much on the situation or going to much into something she doesn't understand yet or need or want to know and not mentioning could make her assume or uncomfortable or its something she just may not like u doing. So just say that .

Well for one you should not allow this at all with a 12 year old girl in the home and too he should have enough respect for that he is not her father so instead of boxers more like shorts and a tee her age she probably is starting to have hormones and yes aboslutely have a talk with her you are the motherr with a man in the house. Your child comes first and her feeling do too.

umm... relax... geez... its not a big deal, and not the end of the world like you are making it sound...

yes you probably should sit down with her and talk to her about it and maybe joke about what she might or might not have seen... I'm assuming that you are from the US since you think its a "nightmare" LOL.. geez... Americans can't seem to get past the fact that the naked body isn't a "forbidden" thing to see... its 2006 and people still think like the Puritans back in the 1600's.

if anything you should teach your children that the human body is a natural thing and seeing someone naked isn't going to condemn them to hell...

anyways.. i just think you are taking this way too seriously
but i will also say that it all depends on the situation too

I had to go through the torture of accidentally walking in on my mom, dad, and grandmother naked, on seperate occasions of course. If you are worrying she'll block it out of her memory and create a split personality then don't. There'll be akwardness for like a week and then everyone will forget it as long as no one makes a big deal out of it.

I wouldn't make a big deal of it unless your daughter does...but your husband really does not need to be walking around the house with a preteen girl living there, regardless of the time.

I think your fiance should apologise to your daughter as it was bound to scare her.
Make him put his pants on to walk around the house in future!

we think they know nothing, but in fact they know everything. Imagine i saw two girls 9 years and 5 years trying to have sex with each other. so they have their own sexual drive and know so many things but we convience ourselves they don't know.
