IMO this cage is way tooo small for this lamb to be comfortable and it has no sides therefore open to the elements,She only sleeps in it during the night but it IS winter and way too cold.I offered him my doggie blankets to cover the cage.He says she is just a sheep and should sleep outside.Maybe if she is just a sheep but in a home environment I think she should have warmth and a comfortable place to sleep. Being an animal lover, I don't think this is right.I keep her in my house during the day as he works. Ithink she likes it here as she gets cuddles and sleeps in front of the heater. I want him to be accountable for his cruelty but I know if I report him to the authorities, It will be the lamb who pays the consequenses The lamb is supposed to be going to its new home/owner on the weekend.

I would seriously wonder whether the plan for this lamb is being a pet or food. The extreme inhumane part in my opinion is that it is kept alone! Sheep are herd animals and need the company of a flock to feel safe and warm. Every moment that poor animal is alone it probably feels like a paranoid schizophrenic. Sheep usually have enough wool to keep warm in the winter by cuddling up together. Without anyone to cuddle with 24-7 the lamb, to me, is not happy. If the lamb is a pet, the owner should be looking out for it's best interest, and your neighbor is not. If it were me, I would call the police and local humane societies IF he plans to get any other animals and treat them unkindly. Since the lamb is leaving in less than a week and does not seem to be in immediate danger of getting ill, I wouldn't wouldn't cause a huge neighbor dispute just yet. Just research proper sheep care and give him suggestions in hopes he will change his set-up.

Maybe the new owner wanted the lamb for a meal and he`s trying to kill it by putting it in the cage?
Well, i think you should report him anyway.
No animal should be kept like that.

It sounds cruel, I for sure would report him. We're supposed to be animal lovers, and whatever the use for this lamb is, it deserves comfort and warmth, it's a baby for God's sake, so I say, yeah report him!

It's winter???? sounds like a made up story. Most of the US is in a heat wave...there is no worry about a sheep being cold.

maybe he wants to make veal out of it.
they keep them in cages in order to minimize the growth of muscle fiber and to keep their flesh tender.
perhaps that is his plan?
