for clothes sales the best way is to deal with wholesalers, manufacturers usually don't deal direct with retail units, and there is usually a long lead time for ordering, up to 6 months, Manchester probably has the biggest clothes wholesale sector

How wide is the opening?can you get large boxes through it? some boxes of clothing are extremely bulky and heavy,if going ahead with this plan double check with suppliers the size of their boxes etc.

First of all you will need a proper business plan, you will then have to present your shop to the suppliers phone and ask to speak to their reps. you will have to pay up front for most if not all of your stock, until you have shown your shop to be worthy of credit form the suppliers.
Good luck.

Contact your local small business enterprise, they have great tips on how to get started and may even help you get financial aid, like start up grants.

Good luck and I hope you succeed.
