Will he be chased off the golf course like OJ? Will he be a laughing stock like Mr. Cruise? Has he destoryed his life and his career? I hear projects are being dropped and people are calling for boycotts already. Even conservate talk TV said he is going to be a lonely man. I think it is all over for him. Being an alcholic is forgivable it is a disease, but being a hater is not. Americans do not forgive. I do not think he will ever be forgiven. Jane Fonda in Viet Nam no veteran ever forgave her. People still have bumper stickers that are against her.

It is not being drunk, but saying hateful things about jews when he was drunk.

2006-07-31 22:52:49 · update #3

Yeah lucky he did not take out anyone when drunk driving. That was really lucky. Hopefully he never will kill anyone, but speaking out in hate for any goup of people is horrible.

2006-07-31 22:54:01 · update #4

No Christians will not forgive him either. A great deal of Christians do not condone prejudice judgemental hateful people. Christians practice love. Just because he did not throw hate at christians does not mean they will forgive him either. Hate is not a christian value. Hate is ugly.

Yeah we all make mistakes, but do our jobs depend on being in the public eye? Does everone know who we are and do we set an example publiclly and if we were to publically hate would there be consequences. There might be.

The princes are boys and that was not smart. Mel is a man with well formed ideas. He just showed his true feelings.

2006-07-31 23:01:39 · update #7

Yeah Mel may have to leave the USA like Michael Jackson did and go somewhere that being rich is just respected.

2006-07-31 23:02:57 · update #8

Ah mel boy is just a antisemetic (person who hates jewish people) a hole. He just said it when he was drunk as a skunk. He only admitted that he has an alcohol problem which is obvious. When someone drives drunk.

No kidding. At very least he didn't run someone over in his drunken state. But at least now his true colors have shown and people can choose if they wish to support any of his projects.

I wont be.

No. He just made a fool of himself...which he has already admitted. All of us do that at one time or another in our lifetime...he's no different.

Most people will (rightfully) forgive and forget. Some will always use this incident to prove his hypocrisy, etc., etc. (Maybe I would too if I was like those folks...who have never made a mistake nor done or said anything hypocritical in their lives.)

I'm more concerned with Mel Gibson's gratuitously violent and sexual movies than I am over his drunken anti-Semitic remarks. The movies (Lethal Weapon, etc.) are a glaring hypocrisy of his personal life.

Pretty sure he is not ruined. Pee Wee got caught whacking off in a porn movie house and he was on Reno 9/11 this past Sunday night and his Playhouse has come back out on DVD. A little DUI and a few drunken comments do not ruin a Hollywood career.

He may have ruined his future in the USA, but there are other countries in the world. Please God, one of these days eather Prince William or Prince Harry is going to be king of Britain. They acted corageously by deciding on Prince Harry wearing WW2 German army uniforms on a fancy show party, and they are likely to be fond of Gibson. As I said, it was a good choice- only wearing uniforms, not krowning a mass murderer as a knight like their grandmother did.

Just goes to show ya that celebrities are just like regular everyday people. They make mistakes too. How would you like it if some tabloid reported...lets say... you absolute dumbest thing you've ever done. Plastered it on their front page. See what I mean???

No one else was ruined by drunken episodes. It's all MEDIA, it'll be forgotten as soon as someone else messes up.
